Sailing is a perfect way to spend at least one day of your Greek island holiday on the lovely island of Kos in the Dodecanese region. Depart by 9.30 am from Kos Marina or Kardamena, sail to a remote beach or bay where you can swim or snorkel and use the Wildside water sports (kayak, sea doo/scooter or water balls), explore the island a little and then have a restaurant prepared BBQ lunch onboard or go to a local island taverna in Pserimos if the trip starts from Kos. Otherwise it is BBQ and beach in Pali or Nisyros if we begin our cruise in Kardamena.
Plenty of opportunities to participate in and learn basics of sailing or simply relax and let your skipper look after you. Trip returns to the respective marina by 6 pm.
We carry up to 9 guests on our high performance Catana catamaran or up to 7 guests on our mono-hull.
Cost includes skipper, fuel, VAT. Water, tea and coffee plus some snacks provided on board. Cost of lunch (on board or at a local restaurant) is an additional expense. On board Greek style meal can be organised in advance with wine and beer for around €15 to €20 per head.
FULL DAY SAILING
Trip: 9.30 am to 5.30 pm. Water, tea, coffee, fruit juice, fruit and small bakery items provided. Guests from Kos Marina may visit a restaurant on Pserimos (fixed price or a la carte) or have a BBQ on boat (but NOT both). From Kardamena BBQ at Yali or cold plate can be provided
HALF DAY SAILING (either morning or afternoon)
Trip: 9 am- 1 pm or 2 pm – 6 pm. Water, tea, coffee and fruit provided. Experience joy of sailing and maybe swim or snorkel
SUNSET CRUISE
Trip: 6.30 pm to 9.30 or 10.00 pm. Beer, bubbly, soft drinks and snacks provided. A cold food plate option can be provided (optional extra cost)
RIB
Trips leave from Kos Marina (or if arranged and practical from clients’ hotel). Water provided on the boat. Trips are either day (7 to 8 hours) or half day (about 3 ½ hours)
- Therma Hot Water Springs (half day)
- Sunset cruise (includes drinks eg bubbly, beer and snacks – 3 hours)
- Mandraki and Nisyros plus Yali (full day) – explore Nisyros, swim at leisure
- Kalymnos (full day)– explore bays and beaches
- Bodrum Turkey (full day) – Turkish port costs extra
- Swim at Beach then go to Kos Town (for shopping/lunch) – Therma Hot Springs for evening in the springs before returning (full day)
General Points:
- Trips leave from Kos Marina or Kardamena (except RIB which is Kardamena based)
- Trips can be sold either for the boat (regardless of number of passengers) or on a per head basis (subject to minimum numbers)
- Cost includes the skipper, water, tea, coffee, limited snacks and all boat costs eg fuel.
- Wildside determines which boat is used unless guests pay full charter price and select a boat
- Guests may wish to procure additional beverages and food prior to departure
- Charters include use of Wildside water accessories including sea torpedo/scooters, water walking ball, sea kayaks and snorkelling gear. RIB has sea torpedo/scooter plus snorkelling only
- Wildside t-shirts, polo shirts and caps may be available for purchase on board
